Homemade Toothpaste with Honey

When mixing honey with water, hydrogen peroxide is produced which stops the growth of plaque-forming bacteria! While honey has medicinal purposes for centuries dating, it is important that the market today to consider using raw honey that is not processed, pasteurized and filtered. Pure essential oils can be the primary active ingredient in your homemade toothpaste. Essential oils are ideal for use in toothpaste because they are both antiseptic and nontoxic, a rare combination. Many researchers have extensively studied clove, lemon, cinnamon. Only use therapeutic grade essential oils for internal use. Look for brands that are recommended by a registered Aromatherapist or a quality natural products store. Ingredients:

1/2 cup olive oil

1 tablespoon coconut oil

3 tablespoons raw honey

20 drops essential oil of cinnamon

20 drops of peppermint essential oil

Instructions:

Hating oils and honey in a jar until coconut oil melts.
